Option #1 for getting started:
A rafting trip on the Limmat River can start at Wipkingerpark, a popular launching point directly on the Limmat in Zurich. The park is easily accessible by tram lines 8, 13, or 17 to "Escher Wyss Platz." Once at the park, you can set up your SUP or raft under the shady trees and easily launch it via the steps.

Option #2 for entry and exit:
You can get on and off at the Höngger weir.
If you would like to start your inflatable boat trip directly at the Höngger weir, we recommend taking tram 17 to «Tüffenwies», as the parking lot «Hardhof» on site quickly becomes overcrowded on hot summer days.

From the boat launch point, you can drift comfortably downstream without further interruptions.
Main part of the route: From Höngger Wehr to the exit point
From the boat launch point, the journey downstream takes you past idyllic scenery, bridges, and swimming spots. After about 1.5 hours, you'll reach the boat landing point at the Glanzenberg barbecue area, where you can conveniently pack up your boat. From Glanzenberg station, a train departs every 15 minutes to the main train station, stopping at either Allstetten or Hardbrücke, to return to the launch points at the Höngger weir or Wipkingerplatz.

This is where the inflatable boat trip on the Limmat ends for most people.
Alternatively, you can drift for another 15 minutes to "Nötzliwiese."
However, be aware that the approaching weir poses a life-threatening risk if you miss the disembarkation point. From here, a train departs every 15 minutes to the main train station.

Please note that carrying a life jacket is mandatory on flowing waters! For lakes: Anyone using an inflatable boat on a Swiss lake more than 300 meters from the shore, thus leaving the outer shoreline zone, must carry a life jacket of the correct size, or at least a buoyancy aid with a minimum of 50 Newtons per person. This also applies to navigating rivers. At night and in poor visibility, inflatable boats must be illuminated with a clearly visible white all-round light.
